MELAMINE SENSOR

THE SAFEST MELAMINE TESTING IN AFRICA

The Unisensor Melamine Sensor was developed in the East and perfected in Africa. In 2008, the crisis in China created the need for the development of a rapid test in the dairy industry to detect Melamine in milk.  Over the years other tests have become commercially available, but quality can’t be beaten. Prime Pharma offers you the leading Melamine sensor: Unisensor. For effective rapid tests in the dairy industry this is an absolute must.

THE BENEFITS

  • Effective: the most sensitive rapid test compared to other dipstick tests
  • Quick: it can detect 250ppb of Melamine in just 5 minutes
  • Easy: no sample cleaning or processing necessary

THE SCIENCE

How The “Quick Protocol” Works (-250 ppb)

  • Place the reagent microwell in the Heatsensor at 40°C.
  • Add directly 200 μl of milk into one reagent microwell and mix 5 to 10 times to homogeneity.
  • Incubate 1 min at 40°C. (for no longer than 1 minute).
  • Dip one dipstick into each microwell.
  • Continue incubating for 4 minutes at 40°C.
  • Remove the dipstick from the microwell.
  • Remove the filter and read the colour intensities either by visual observation or using ReadSensor.

How The “Sensitive Protocol” Works (125-250 ppb):

  • Place the reagent microwell in the Heatsensor at 40°C.
  • Add directly 200 μl of milk into one reagent microwell and mix 5 to 10 times to homogeneity
  • Incubate 1 min at 40°C. (for no longer than 1 minute).
  • Dip one dipstick into each microwell.
  • Continue incubating for 8 minutes at 40°C
  • Remove the dipstick from the microwell
  • Remove the filter and read the colour intensities using ReadSensor.
